Baked Lays and Diet Mt Dew

on September 7, 2011

…that’s breakfast this morning.  We’re packing for our move next week, and boy are we STRESSED.   Can anyone relate?

I say that we’re moving, but we literally have no clue where we’re moving to.  You see, our landlord is in foreclosure due to filing bankruptcy, and since we were month-to-month since we’ve been with him for so long, our rights to the home only carried over for another month after proceedings started.  So, we’ve been looking – unsuccessfully.  You would think that 2 financially secure adults, with a great rental history would be able to find a place no problem.

You know what’s causing our trouble?

Who wouldn’t want this little guy??

Well… ok, he looks more like this now (notice the tongue in both pictures):

BUT, he’s almost 10 years old, and literally wouldn’t hurt a kitten.  I have proof:

That’s him getting OWNED by my mom’s kitten.  He was a lot younger then, and that was his “aggressive” stage, and yet he laid right down and let the kitten beat the crap out of him.  Look closely, the kitten has her left paw pulled back to bitch slap him.

We also have this little lady too, but the only things she is a danger to is bananas, carrots and underwear. Nobody minds her, thankfully.

The places that WOULD accept the German Shepherd so far haven’t had a yard that he could go potty in.  Which wouldn’t be an issue if we didn’t have this little guy (my nephew) too:

No matter what, we cannot seem to figure out how I can juggle two dogs and a baby for walks.  Clearly I, or my husband, can walk them just fine when the other is home to watch the baby, but… we’re rarely home together.  So what happens when the German Shepherd gets a bout of DIBS (doggy irritable bowel syndrome) and I’m all alone with los puppos grandes and the baby?

Anyway… so you get my point – I haven’t been cooking.  Well, much.

I did make a double batch of this again last night with a few updates:

chili mac kale

Get the updated recipe HERE.  At least work lunches are packed for the week.

The best part is the one place that allows dogs; just so long as they way no more then 6ozs and never bark or fart or think about doing either. the frustration has made me want to sanitize thing. by things i mean house and i mean of people.

Wow, you have a lot going on right now! I’m sending happy thoughts your way that you run into a landlord who understands about dogs.
